About MEJLA

Our goal is to create landscapes that are comfortable, healthy, gracious, and gorgeous. We aim to create better relationships between humans and the natural world, which can start as humbly as providing people with a decent place to eat lunch outdoors. We feel our designs reflect a superior sense of understanding the landscape context. We pride ourselves in understanding our clients and their needs thoroughly, making sure that outdoor uses of the site are well-programmed and accounted for in the design and budget. We try to find the unique genius of the site and find ways to express it through interpretive devices. Our designs reflect a sense of fun, but we aim for the enduring rather than the stylish.
